Guest Speakers

We have spoken with and are working on confirmation with the following individuals. We anticipate they will attend and speak at the Boss Reunion Banquet. Also, they will more than likely be hanging out with us on Saturday and Sunday at the event. This group of individuals has contributed to the BOSS car development, and some will be guest speakers at the Friday banquet. We are also working on additional special guests, check back for updated information and confirmation.

  • Don Eichstaedt: Test Engineer 429, Supervised build 1st Boss 302 prototype, handled testing and certification.  Was  very heavily involved with the 429 start to finish.  
  • Bill Barr: Ford Engine Engineering, Chief engineer for the Boss 302 development program.
  • Donald Farr: Rescheduled Donald will be attending:  Donald has been a Mustang owner since 1970 and involved in the Mustang hobby as a journalist and editor since 1977.   2010, Ford Motor Company commissioned Farr to revise his original Boss 302 book with new chapters about the 2012 Boss 302. The updated book, Mustang Boss 302: From Racing Legend to Modern Muscle Car, was published by Motorbooks in July 2011 and has been updated in a second printing to incorporate the 2013 Boss 302.
  • Ken Dowd: Unable to attendFord Motor Company Stylist, Ken began his design career in the late 1960s working for Ford Motor Company.  He was assigned to the Special Projects Studio, responsible for the design and modification of multiple race and show cars.
  • Shawn Carney: (Confirmed speaker): lead development engineer for NVH (noise, vibration, harshness) on Ford’s V-8 Mustang.  Shawn and the Boss team worked on developing the lopey sound for the 2012 & 2013 Boss cars +++. 
  • John Kranig: Ford Motor Company Engineer 32 years, vehicle design, vehicle development wind tunnel testing
  • John Harp: Kar-Kraft Production Forman hired by Fran Hernandez, John was there as the Boss project was developed and completed.  He remained with Kar-Kraft until they closed their doors.  John will definitely have some stories to tell.
  • Charlie Henry Unable to attend: Author Kar-Kraft Race Cars, Prototypes and Muscle Cars of Ford's Specialty Vehicle Activity Program.  Charlie worked at Kar-Kraft for a short time, was very familiar with the company and the men that were employed there.  Charlie will be available to sign autographs, bring your copy of Kar-Kraft.  Unfortunately if you don't have one they are very difficult to find because they are now out of print.

                       Very Happy to announce: Larry Shinoda's wife Joyce and son Keith Shinoda will be attending the banquet and will be at the event on Saturday

 BOSS cars on Display

 Tim Olive's 1969 Bud Moore Mustang race car which made it's debut at the 2019 Boss Reunion will return and this year the car will be joining the parade lap.  In 2019 the Pepsi car was not ready to sound off and roll around the track.  Tim now has the 69' running, attendees will get to see and hear this historic car.  '69 Bud Moore Mustang celebrating fifty-five years of  BOSS.

 Dunkin Brothers Customs creation FrankenBoss  coming to the  Boss Reunion! 2012.  Built for the 2023 SEMA show.  see FrankenBoss up close...get to meet the creators.

 Paul Rocha (founder of Hoon Dog) will be bringing the 2012 Mustang Boss 302 engineering prototype,  plus the 2012 Boss S #0001
